Fall is here, and with it, concerns about the Flu. Bill Wojnowicz is an area manager for Wegmans Pharmacy. He was at NewsChannel 9 for the station’s annual flu shot clinic, and he stopped by the studio to administer flu shots for TeNesha and guest host Glenn “Gomez” Adams. Gomez admitted this is his first flu shot. He’s always felt fairly healthy, but says he decided to get the shot this year because “it’s not all about me.” As healthy as we may feel, we all come in contact with elders, children, people with compromised health, and others who might be susceptible to flu germs that we can all pass along. Bill Wojnowicz says most people can get a flu shot at their nearest Wegmans Pharmacy anytime during pharmacy hours. No reservations are needed, they administer shots to children as young as two years old, and most health insurance policies cover the costs. Bill says the best time to get a shot is before October 31st, but he recommends getting the shot even if you miss that date.
