The Junior League of Syracuse’s annual fundraiser is back. Holiday Shoppes is a three day event at the fairgrounds that offers customers boutique shopping from nearly 200 unique merchants.
President of the Junior League Audra Mueller, and Holiday Shoppes Merchant Co-Chair Courtney Jones said more than 100 vendors will be on site selling homemade accessories, clothing, skincare products, and more.
“There’s something for everyone. There’s a lot of gift opportunities for yourself or for the holiday season,” says Jones.
She says that by supporting these vendors you are supporting their passions as well as supporting the Junior League.
The Junior League will also sell socks from a company called We Help Too. For every three pairs of socks sold at the event, the company will send back a warm pair of winter socks that the Junior League will distribute to one of their community partners according to Mueller.
“It’s a community impact project, but also a fundraiser for us too,” she says.
The Junior League is a women’s organization that promotes volunteerism that develops the potential of women through community impact.
“What we really pride ourselves in is we develop female leaders that go out into the community and continue serving on other boards, non-for profits with the companies they work for,” she says.
Proceeds from the event fund the Junior League’s community impact and leadership development efforts.
The event starts Friday November 8th and runs through Sunday the 10th. Tickets are $7 pre-sale and $8 at the door. For more information on this event visit jlsyracuse.org.
