After successfully battling cancer himself, Evan Andrew knew he wanted to give back and with the help of his family, he’s doing just that.
On Saturday, September 7th, families will putt their way to raising funds to fight pediatric cancer. The event coined ‘Kicking Cancer’s Putt’ will take place at West Hill Golf Course in Camillus and the Andrews family says it’s their own way of giving back and saying thank you to so many who helped them.
During Evan’s battle with stage four Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, he and his family described it as nothing short of a nightmare, they said. But thankfully with the help of others they were able to help Evan defeat the disease.
With a goal to help other families alleviate the financial burdens that come with fighting cancer, the Andrews family are focused on creating a family friendly atmosphere on the golf course.
Pies Guys Pizzeria will be on hand and raffles will also be part of the event, including a silent auction and a TV Raffle too. And for those who don’t golf, you’re invited to play a variation of the game, foot golf.
“Kick Cancer’s Putt!” 9-Hole Golf Tournament is Saturday, September 7 beginning at 10am at West Hill Golf Course. Tickets are $50 per person and $25 for kids under 12. To register visit email@example.com.
