Mirbeau Inn and Spa’s, Ed Clawson stopped by this morning to show off two Valentine’s Day inspired cocktails.
The first cocktail he mixed was a more bitter drink with gin and hard cider called Orchard Negroni.
1 Oz 1911 Gin
1 Oz Meletti 1870 Bitter Liqueur (or Campari)
1 Oz Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth
3-4 Drops Orange Cream Citrate (or orange bitters)
Beak & Skiff Honey Crisp Hard Cider
Combine all ingredients except for hard cider and ice in glass and shake.
Top with hard cider.
Garnish with slice of orange and star anise.
The second cocktail was a sweeter blend called a Bella Rosa Cocktail.
1.5 Oz Raspberry Vodka
Banfi Rosa Regale (Sweet Red Sparkling Wine)
Fresh Squeeze Lime (½ Lime)
In a shaker glass muddle Basil & Strawberries.
Add ice, vodka and lime juice then shake.
Pour mixture into cocktail glass, top with Rosa Regale and garnish with a sprig of basil and strawberry slices.
Tonight Mirbeau is serving a four course dinner in their dining room from 5:30 to 9 pm.
