For more than 25 years, The National Memorial Day Concert has featured uplifting musical performances mixed with documentary footage and dramatic readings that honor servicemen and women both past and present.
It’s known as one of PBS’ highest-rated programs featuring a star-studded lineup performing in concert and tribute to all those who have sacrificed and served the United State of America. With a mission to unite the country in remembrance and appreciation, host Joe Mantegna returns again this year as he has for the last fifteen years, alongside Lawrence Fishburne to host the event in our Nation’s Capital.
Actress Auili’i Cravalho will also lend her talents in singing the National Anthem this year. She will be joined by the likes of an all-star lineup to include classical superstar Renee Fleming, Actress and singer Vanessa Williams, and country music superstar Scotty McCreery to name a few.
The National Memorial Day Cocnert kicks off from Washington D.C. at 8pm on Saturday May 27 on PBS. To learn more about this year’s event visit pbs.org
