Syracuse University Athletic Director, John Wildhack, has two words for fans heading up the hill to watch the Syracuse vs Clemson football game, leave early.
The sold out Carrier Dome will host more than 50,000 orange fans as the Clemson Tigers, reigning national champions and current number one team in the country, the take on the ‘Cuse at 7:30pm Saturday night.
Wildhack laid out some of the details leading up to game time. He said parking lots around the Dome will open at 3pm and encourages everyone to come out as early as they can.
The popular, ‘Cuse on the Quad, kicks off at 4pm. Wildhack said it will have a festival feel this year with food, live music from Eric Chesser and of course, the SU Marching Band.
The former ESPN executive said he feels like the team will come out and play well. However, Wildhack did say they will need help from the fans, “We need our fans. The fans can make a huge difference. When Clemsons’ on offense we need our fans to be loud on first down, second down and third down. When we’re on offense we kind of want it to be like a library.”
The Syracuse Orange take on the Clemson Tigers Saturday, September 14th at 7:30pm inside the Carrier Dome. If you can’t make it out to the game tune into NewsChannel 9 for a live broadcast.
