Syracuse Moms Blog may have only started in February 2016 but in less than a year has amassed a community of over 7,000 mothers in the Central New York area. The site is one of over sixty sister sites across the country who are part of the City Moms Blog Network. The collaborative blog is a parenting resource that strives to inform, empower and connect women and mostly, let them know they’re not alone. Meg Coholan and Emily Pollokoff are both participating mom bloggers and join Bridge Street this morning.
The current team is made of up 30 moms who are passionate about uniting mothers across CNY and being positing and supportive of one another. The mothers are a mix of what one would consider traditional and not so traditional moms so hopefully there is someone any reader can relate to. They publish real life stories and honest experiences about motherhood as well as share information such as upcoming events, activities, spotlight local business and give one another advice.
While the community starts online through the blog and social media, they also host events that help members and readers connect offline. They offer community groups as well as Mom’s Day/Night Out events. Another event that they’re looking forward to in the near future is the Costco Mom Hour on November 4th. Almost 100 Costco stores nationwide are opening their doors an hour early for City Moms Blog Network readers and attendees will enjoy a continental breakfast, membership specials and giveaways as well as swag bags full of goodies. The local Costco in Camillus is participating with the Syracuse Moms Blog next Friday from 9am – 10am.
