Hot rods, classic cars, antique cars, muscle cars and more will be cruising into the New York State Fairgrounds for this year’s Syracuse Nationals.
The largest car show in the Northeast and one of the biggest in the entire country, the Nationals is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2019.
“Hard to believe my Dad had this crazy idea 20 years ago, and here we are.”– Rob O’Connor, President of Right Coast Inc.
“We see a lot of people my age, 50s or so, getting into the hobby with a Camaros and the Mustangs and stuff like that” says O’Connor, whose company Right Coast Inc. runs the Nationals. “So you see a lot more of those cars coming into the show now than when we started 20 years ago.”
More than 95,000 people stopped by the 2018 Syracuse Nationals to check out nearly 8,200 classic cars from 34 states and 6 provinces in Canada.
Several of the classic and antique cars taking part in this year’s Syracuse Nationals stopped by our studio, including a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz, a 1965 Ford Fairlane, and a 1940 Ford Coupe Standard Model.
Another highlight of the show will be the celebrity appearances, including Erik Estrada who played “Ponch” on CHiPS and Candy Clark of American Graffiti fame.
The Syracuse Nationals at the New York State Fairgrounds from 8am to 6pm on Friday, July 19th and Saturday, July 20th and from 8am to 3pm on Sunday, July 21st.
