Syracuse fans, here’s your chance to interact with the players and coaches of the SU Men’s Basketball Team, while helping a good cause!
The 28th annual Ms. Orange Fan Luncheon is planned for Sunday, October 20th. Since the first event in 1991, it’s raised more than $1.2 million in support of local wishes.
“This is for sure our largest single revenue generator” says Make-A-Wish Central New York President and CEO Diane Kuppermann.
Kuppermann joined Juli Boeheim and Wish Ambassador Aria to tell Sistina and TeNesha all about the event.
It features autographs and photo opportunities with the players and coaches, before they’re auctioned off to have lunch with whoever “buys” them.
Aria had her wish granted earlier this year, receiving a playhouse in her backyard that she got to customize herself. She’s one of 7 Wish Kids who will escort the players and coaches during the event.
“It’s so fun to see our players with that little girl and the preciousness of that” Boehiem says.
The event includes basket raffles, a silent auction, and event merchandise. Otto the Orange, the Sour Sitrus Society, and the S.U. cheer and dance teams will provide entertainment.
There is only limited seating left for the event. Tickets are $75.
The event is Sunday, October 20th. Doors open at 10 a.m. and the luncheon begins at 10:30 a.m. For more information visit cny.wish.org.
“Wishes can’t wait. They are life changing for the kids with critical illnesses that we serve throughout 15 counties,” says Kuppermann.
