The original funny man behind “Wise Guys” is bringing the gang back together for a great local cause for one night only.

Schirripa, who ran nightclubs for more than 30 years, was approached to put a show to support the Centers at St. Camillus and their affiliate Integrity Home Care Services. He jumped at the chance because of the cause, he said and asked a few friends to join.

“My good friend, Joey Kola, we just saw on the Rachel Ray Show, he’s on every day, will be here. Along with a gentleman, Chris Zitto, who is truly original,” he added.

Scott McClurg is on the Center’s Board of Trustees and knows firsthand how important the work is to the Central New York community.

“My dad who was a World War II fighter pilot, an ace fighter pilot had a disease where he needed total care all the time for a year and a half,” McClurg said. “I went through that and realized, like Bruno, how important it is to take care of the elderly.”

The Centers at St. Camillus is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year of caring for older patients.

“Bruno Presents The Original Wise Guys” stars Bruno himself, along with Chris Zitto, and Joey Kola on Saturday, November 9th at 8:00p.m.

Tickets are $25 and available at brownpapertickets.com or at the door.
