Think you can sink a half court basketball shot? How about two? If so, there’s a chance for you to win $50,000 at the season home opener for the Syracuse Stallions.
The professional basketball team is starting it’s second season raked 4th in the American Basketball Association. The team ended their first season as the 2019 ABA East Regional Champions and played in the final four.
Center DaJuan Coleman said it means a lot to play professional basketball in his home city. “Last year was a good season, we made it to the final four. A little disappointment from, you know, not winning,” Coleman said.
At the Stallions opening game, fans can preregister to participate in a half-court challenge worth $50,000 sponsored by Nave Law Firm. One lucky fan will get the chance to shot 3 half court shots; make 2 of 3 and win $50,000.
“I thought it was a good opportunity to get people out to their games,” said Sean Kelsey, Chief Operating Officer at Nave Law Firm, one of the biggest sponsors of the Stallions. “Even thought they’re a professional basketball team and we’re a law firm, we run our businesses very similar,” he added.
The Syracuse Stallions play the St. Louis Spirits Saturday, November 2nd at 7:05pm inside the Institute of Technology at Syracuse Central Tech High School.
