Syracuse Crunch Celebrates 25th Season

When the Syracuse Crunch played their first game in 1994, many doubted their success. But now, 25 years later, Crunch owner Howard Dolgan has made a strong commitment to make the Syracuse Crunch a first-class team.

Dolgan brought excitement, a talent for promotion, and a real commitment to success and this weekend, the team will celebrate by opening their 25th season at the War Memorial.

Crunch Broadcaster Lukas Favale, encourages people to attend the home game season opener this weekend to witness the renovation they have done in the past few months. Renovations including six new premier suites, a new scoreboard, and most importantly, the debut of six new members of the team.

"It's a young team but I think as we see the year go along, and I think we have an exciting team and a pretty good year coming up for the Crunch," he said.

The Syracuse Crunch opens it’s 25th season at the War Memorial Arena on Saturday night against the Charlotte Checkers. Game time is at 7pm. For more information go to
