Ophelia’s Place Releases New Programs to Reduce Mental Health Disorders

Community

October is Love Your Body month and Ophelia’s Place, a center that provides support, treatment and education about eating disorders and negative body image is releasing five new programs to reduce the occurrence of the negative impact of mental health disorders.

Lead Educator, Holly Lowery, says that Ophelia’s Place wants to engage the community to spread awareness and make an impact. For Love Your Body month, the organization is teaming up with yoga studios to promote the message of nourishing, accepting and replenishing your body.

Some of the five new programs include a monthly event and a certificate program.

The lunch and learn is a monthly event held at Cafe 407. At the event, educators talk about body acceptance and intuitive eating. The certificate program is an ongoing four month book discussion, and anyone from across the globe can join.
