Oswego County SPCA pairs with Fulton Council to improve the lives of cats like Cinnamon: Petsavers

Petsavers

(WSYR-TV) – Cinnamon Toast Crunch from the Oswego County SPCA is NewsChannel 9’s featured animal of the week!

Cinnamon, for short, is a nine-week-old kitten who was born to a feral mom but has since become one of the SPCA’s kindest, cuddliest foster kittens.

Tanya Semchenko told NewsChannel 9’s Rob Hackford, that Cinnamon is very playful and good with kids and other animals. He has been with the shelter for about two weeks.

The Oswego County SPCA recently announced a new partnership with the City of Fulton Common Council, the goal of which is to improve the lives of all animals in the area.

“I wasn’t fully aware of all that the Oswego County SPCA does in our community, but as [the council] became more aware of stray cats in the city, we were able to find them homes through the SPCA. This is going to be a great partnership,” said Councilman Dennis Merlino, City of Fulton

The shelter is hoping to bring a micro-chipping clinic to the area, improve spaying and neutering resources, improve awareness about its pet food pantry as well as establish an animal wellness clinic in Fulton.

More information about Cinnamon and the SPCA’s new initiatives can be found on the Oswego County SPCA website. You can also check them out and reach out if you’re interested in adopting via Facebook.
