Reeve’s Farms Welcomes Strawberry Picking Season

Strawberry picking season is on its way in Central New York and one local farm is gearing up for picking season.

Reeves Farm located in Baldwinsville provides the perfect opportunity to pick fresh ripe strawberries, Sales Manager Karin Reeves said. She also says that there are some key tips to consider before you go.

“The fields are away from trees, there’s no shade,” Karin said. “You want to make sure you have a hat, water, and sunscreen,” she adds.

When picking strawberries, Karin advises visitors to leave the stems intact and wash them as you eat them to preserve them. The best way to enjoy the strawberries is to put them in the refrigerator as soon as possible.

Reeves farms expects to be picking strawberries soon. In the meantime visit their fruit stand is opening on Wednesday, June 19th. To learn more, visit
