This event, now in its fourteenth year, offers the community a chance to contribute to the Rescue Mission’s cause as well as start a dialogue within families about homelessness, Rescue Mission CEO Dan Sieburg said. “You can come out with your family, do the ride and run … but then have those conversations about what is homelessness and how do people end up this way,” he adds.
Starbucks and Bagelicious are providing breakfast for the event, allowing athletes to fuel up before heading off. Lunch will also greet the participants after they cross the finish line.
