The Syracuse Strong kicks off their 5th season as
The Strong are coming off of a successful season ending 16-1 and winning the NYS Championship and the AAA Minor League Football National Championship.
“For me, the pressure is just living up to the hype,” said Austin Moore, defensive end. “Everyone’s asking me questions about playing in the arena league, but I’m human just like everyone else and I’m just having fun and just being back playing in Syracuse and seeing my friends is a good time.”
Coming from Arena football,
“It’s a completely different game, in arena there are 8 players on both side of the field verses outdoor football. There are 11 players on the field. In Arena the games are a little faster because it’s in a box and it takes less time for plays to develop,” said
“We have great players who are all-conference players, players who played in the Arena league. So we have a lot of experience especially on the coaching staff as well as the players,” said Brian Greene, first year coach. Greene and Moore look to help the team achieve the same level of success for the upcoming season.
The Syracuse Strong will take on the Charlotte Colonials on Saturday, May 25th for their season opener.
