Co. Exec.: Half of Onondaga County’s population has been vaccinated

ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — During Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon’s bi-weekly COVID-19 briefing on Thursday, he shared how many people of each age ranges that have received their coronavirus vaccinations.

McMahon also said that by the end of next week, all high schools, both public and private, will have had pop-up vaccine clinics or partNered with a neighboring district for one.

In May, he announced that Onondaga County will offer traveling pop-up clinics in zip codes with lower vaccination rates, where appointments won’t be necessary.

McMahon also said that the gift card voucher program that went live earlier this week has been successful, and he hopes to be able to do a second round later on.
