Liverpool woman crashed, flipped car before it caught on fire

(WSYR-TV) — Around 5:30 a.m. a Liverpool woman crashed her car into a tree along the East Seneca Turnpike before the car rolled over and caught on fire.

Syracuse Police say Tameeka Johnson, 39, of Liverpool was driving at a high rate of speed while weaving in and out of traffic before she went off the road, hit a tree, and flipped the car.

A female passenger in Johnson’s car was taken to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Johnson was also taken after complaints of pain.

Johnson was ticketed for improper passing, moved from lane unsafely, failure to use a designated lane, and reckless driving.
