SPD K-9 helps catch man wanted in connection with burglaries

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A Syracuse man has been arrested after a string of burglaries in the area around Syracuse University.

Police say on Saturday, June 15th, an officer and his k-9 partner were patrolling on East Adams Street, near South Salina Street, when they saw Moises deJesus, who matched the description of the person they wanted to question about the burglaries.

DeJesus took off running, but K-9 Brit caught him.

DeJesus is now facing charges, including burglary, trespassing and possession of stolen property.
