Syracuse man arrested for stabbing another man in Binghamton

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Police tracked down a man in Syracuse and cahrged him with attempted murder after a stabbing in Binghamton.

Police say early Monday morning, Saquawon Linton stabbed a homeless man who was sleeping on a bus station bench in downtown Binghamton. After investigating, police tracked Linton to Syracuse and brought him back to Binghamton for questioning.

So far, police say they have not been able to figure out a motive, but it seems to be a random attack, as there is no known connection between the two.

The man who was attacked is in critical condition.
