All branches of the military use the Fair to generate hundreds of thousands of recruitment leads.
The Air Force has stood out to some people because of their Rapid Strike Simulator.
As it sounds, the simulator takes you above the clouds, showing nearly every element of an Air Force mission– all while staying on the ground, and out of combat.
It also shows riders the different positions that work together to make a rapid strike successful.
“For the guys that are kind of in that sweet spot as far as joining goes, in high school and post high school, they’ll come out here and ride this and they’ll come over to us and say ‘hey, I would love, can I do that?’ And we’re like ‘absolutely you can do that, let’s talk,’” said 1st Sgt. Marshall Bissette with the U.S. Air Force.
It’s advertised as the only free ride at the Fair, but what this Rapid Strike Simulator does for the Air Force is truly priceless– they say they receive thousands of leads from it every year at the Fair.
