Carrier Corp. has announced that they will be cutting positions at its research center in DeWitt once again.
Company spokesperson Jon Shaw issued the following statement:
“We regularly review our business structure and implement changes, including adjusting employment levels, to ensure continued growth and future success. We recognize that these actions can be difficult on impacted employees and their families.
We are committed to working with impacted employees to help ease the transition and we’re taking proactive steps to mitigate these effects. Impacted employees will be eligible for separation benefits, including outplacement services and medical benefits as well as continued access to the UTC Employee Scholar Program, which covers paid tuition, fees and books at any accredited college or university for up to one year.”
Shaw did not specify how many positions would be cut.
