The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of a man whose body was found floating in the Oneida River on Tuesday.

They say 31-year-old Mykhailo Ivanyk Jr. of Syracuse was discovered around 12:15 p.m. off of Comstock Road in the town of Cicero.

Investigators do not believe any foul play was involved in Ivanyk’s death.

Ivanyk had disappeared after leaving a friend’s house on Comstock Road on Sunday.

Friends and relatives had been searching for him since.

The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident.

The Onondaga Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause of death.
