UNITED STATES (WSYR-TV) — If the phrase “free WiFi in the sky” sounds like a catchy tag line, it may not be too long until you see it plastered on billboards nationwide.
That’s because Delta is toying with the idea of providing no-cost WiFi on flights.
According to Delta’s website, the airline is taking the first step with initial, limited testing.
Starting May 13th, customers on roughly 55 domestic flights each day will have the chance to surf the web for free.
The pilot program is set to run for two weeks across all cabins on select routes.
The test is designed to get a feel for things like customer experience and system performance.
