Tawn Marie’s Dance Center: Extraordinary Talent

CENTRAL NEW YORK (WSYR_TV) — A Central New York dance studio in the national spotlight for a performance called “This Is Me.”

Tawn Marie’s Dance Center has been nominated for the People’s Choice Award at the Industry Dance Awards in Hollywood, the equivalent of the Oscars for the dance world.

“Dancing with the Stars” dancer Val Chmerkovskiy presented the award.

It was an unforgettable night for Tawn Marie, sharing the stage with Julianne Hough, Olivia Newton John and Emma Dewan, who were all given special dance awards.

Back on the east coast, the dancers, including Haley Forbes, were up past midnight to see if they had won.
