Fall event extends Darien Lake season

Darien Lake fans will have a little  more time at their favorite spot this season.

The popular theme park is extending its season to six months in 2018 – and gate will be open from Saturday, May 5 through their new event, the Jack-o-Lantern Jamboree on Sunday, Oct. 29.

The new event will kick off on Saturday, Sept. 28 and go through five weekends.

Guests are invited to participate in pumpkin-themed entertainment that includes specialty foods, costume contests, a trick-or-treat trail, a  pie-eating contest, and a laser light show.

Darien Lake is also hoping to break the Guinness World Record for most carved pumpkins in a line.

Attendees 12 and under can enter for free if they bring a carved pumpkin.

The following events are happening at the theme park this year: 

Father’s Day Car Show and Beer Festival – June 16-17

Color Me Rad – June 23 

Kingdom Bound – July 29-August 1 

Harvest Fest – Sept. 8-9, 15-16, 22-23
