Firefighters investigating after putting out Kirk Avenue house fire

(WSYR-TV) — The Syracuse Fire Department put out a structure fire around 7 p.m. on Friday night on Kirk Avenue.

When crews arrived they found the two-and-a-half story, wood frame home with fire towards the back and smoke coming from the roof.

The building appeared to be vacant and had plywood covering the windows and doors. No victims were found.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
