News

Officials in Broome County say they are monitoring the potential impact of flash flooding as heavy storms move through the Southern Tier on Tuesday morning.

The Town of Maine has declared a state of emergency after flooding shut down several roadways and damaged some structures.

In addition, a command post has been set up at the Maine Fire Station.

Several roads have also been closed throughout Broome County.

Officials say they are updating road closures on GoBroomeCounty.com.

They say residents should follow all emergency alerts.
