(WSYR-TV) — Former Syracuse QB Eric Dungey announced on his Instagram that he has signed with the New York Giants after going undrafted.

Dungey is in New York for the Giants’ rookie minicamp which starts Friday, May 3.

Dungey lead the Syracuse Orange to a 10-3 record including a 34-18 win over No. 15 West Virginia in the Camping World Bowl.

Dungey left campus ranked in the top five all-time at Syracuse in passing attempts (2nd – 1,279), completions (2nd – 786), completion percentage (3rd – .615), touchdown passes (3rd – 58) and pass efficiency rating (4th – 133.07), according to Cuse.com.

The New York Giants selected Duke’s Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick in the first round of the NFL Draft. Dungey will have an uphill battle making the roster with Jones, two-time winning Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning, and 2018 draft pick Kyle Lauletta all on the depth chart.

New York also drafted Syracuse defensive tackle Chris Slayton with the 31st pick in the seventh round (No. 245 overall).
