State Police arrested Adam Cesario, 36, from the Town of Lenox for tax fraud, false filing, and falsifying business records — all misdemeanors.

An investigation found that Cesario, while working for the Lenow Highway Department, utilized the town’s tax-exempt account to evade sales tax on purchases related to a personally-owned auto shop.

Additionally, it was found that Cesario had claimed on a time sheet to have been working at the town of Lenox Highway Department, when in fact he was not.

Cesario was processed and issued an appearance ticket to the Village of Canastota Court.
