The Geneseo bear fountain has been restored to its’ former glory.
The fountain’s basin and “capital,” which is the pillar in the middle of the fountain, were damaged beyond repair after a truck crashed into the fountain in April.
The metal work, plumbing, and Emmeline the bear were all able to be repaired at the time and the bear was on display in the Livingston County Museum for months.
Granite was located in Connecticut to replace the basin.
Now the bear will return home. Crews will place Emmeline atop her new pedestal.
Main Street will be closed for a few hours Wednesday morning, according to the Livingston County Sheriff.
