(WSYR-TV) — Have you noticed street lights not working along I-690? Our Your Stories line has been lighting up with questions about the outages.

So just how many street lights are not working? Almost a third.

From the Thompson Road on-ramp all the way to the Amphitheater exit, we counted a total of 326 lights going east and west. Of that total, 104 were not working.

According to a National Grid Spokesperson, the I-690 streetlights are owned by the NYS-DOT and maintained by the municipality they are in. National Grid is responsible for the circuitry and luminaires. National Grid says it is waiting for plans for repairs to the overall network by the NYS-DOT, which have to occur before it can move ahead with determining if any repairs are required on the components it owns and is responsible to maintain.
