Jury selection is underway for the man accused of shooting a UPS driver in an Ithaca Walmart parking lot in 2016.

Justin Barkley was charged with second-degree murder after allegedly shooting and running over William Schumacher on Dec. 8, 2016 in a Walmart parking lot.

Barkley told police he thought he had shot and killed then President-elect Donald Trump.

If convicted, Barkley will spend a maximum of 25 years to life in prison.

Tompkins County Court has not specified the number of jurors selected already.
