Yes, many of us woke up to a fresh blanket of snow ranging from a coating to as much as a foot in a few spots across CNY! 

It’s not unusual to see measureable snow in April across CNY. The average amount of snow that occurs in April in Syracuse is 3.8″.

82% of Aprils in Syracuse since 1903 have recorded measureable snow. 62% of Aprils have had at least an 1″ of snow and 47% of Aprils since 1903 have received 3″ or more. 

The snowiest April in Syracuse’s recorded history is 16.3″ set back in 1983. Last April, 2018, 2.5″ of snow was measured in Syracuse.

Moravia: 2.5″

Savannah: 2.0″

Eaton: 2.0″
