ONEIDA COUNTY (WSYR-TV) — A new kind of career fair is coming to Oneida County, hoping to fill 1,000 regional job openings in several industries.
The event is scheduled for October 21st from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. Central New Yorkers will have the opportunity to meet with 50 employers across fields including hospitality, construction, manufacturing, government, and health care.
OneidaWorks! will include employers from companies of all sizes, including both small businesses and large corporations with opportunities to work from entry-level to professional. There will also be seasonal, part-time, and full-time positions.
The event will also feature a “career closet,” giving candidates access to free business professional attire that’s been donated. Candidates looking for assistance will also have the opportunity to meet with recruiters for interview coaching and resume building.
