12-year-old stabbed in the back Tuesday afternoon, Syracuse police say

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A 12-year-old boy was stabbed in the back Tuesday afternoon, according to Syracuse Police.

Police responded to South Salina Street and Brighton Avenue around 4:45 p.m. for a stabbing call, and upon arriving they located the boy who had stab wounds to the back.

Officials say he was transported to Upstate Hospital where he is expected to survive.

The investigation is active and ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5222.
