SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A 14-year-old boy is recovering from a severe head injury after crashing a speeding car into a home on Syracuse’s near westside.
Syracuse Police the teenager was driving a 2001 Toyota on Tully Street just before 11 p.m. on Wednesday when he lost control of the vehicle, hitting the front porch of a home and then the home itself.
The 14-year-old, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle.
He was take to Upstate University Hospital to be treated for what police call a “non life-threatening” injury.
No one else was hurt and no charges have been filed at this time.
