15 breweries come together, creating an IPA to capture Syracuse in a can

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Fifteen local breweries are throwing their hats in the tank. They’re creating a beer to capture Syracuse in a can and show the unity within our brewing community.

The brew is a Sessions New England IPA called Autonomous Collective. It’s a bright, fruity, citrusy blend, but the meaning behind it is even more flavorful.

“We’re like a brewing family, you know, behind the scenes we all help each other and the craft beer scene in Onondaga County is exploding. So what we wanted to do is make a beer that shows consumers we all stand together,” said Rockney Roberts, Co-Owner of Willow Rock Brewing Co.

“We are known as a community where everybody works together and I think you can see that in this beer itself,” said Eric Petranchuk, Owner of Full Boar Brewing.

Starting on Saturday, you can crack open a can or try Autonomous Collective on draft at any of the following 15 breweries helping to make it:

  • Buried Acorn
  • Gordon Biersch (Syracuse)
  • WT Brews
  • Stout Beard Brewing Company
  • IBU
  • Full Boar Brewing
  • Middle Ages Brewing Co
  • Eastwood Brewing Company
  • Talking Cursive Brewing Company
  • Freight Yard Brewing
  • Skaneateles Brewing Company
  • Local 315
  • Seneca Street
  • Hot House Brewing Co
  • Willow Rock Brewing Co
