2 fraternity members accept a ‘University proposed sanction’ in Theta Tau case

Local News

Two members of the Theta Tau fraternity have accepted a “University proposed sanction” after controversial videos involving the students surfaced last month.

It is unclear exactly what the sanction for each of the students is.

Chancellor Kent Syverud announced the update in a campus-wide email on Thursday.

16 other members are currently undergoing a University conduct hearing where they could sanctions as well.

Those hearings have mostly concluded, according to an advisor for the students. Further individual hearings could continue on Monday.

This is a developing story. Continue checking LocalSYR.com and NewsChannel for updates.
