Five women are facing charges out of Oneida County for alleged welfare fraud.
The Oneida County District Attorney’s Office announced the arrest of: 36-year-old Brandy Iannone, of Florida, 25-year-old Nieco Rivers, 40-year-old Rosa Gonzalez, 28-year-old Seneca Thompson, all of Utica, and 45-year-old Tabitha Lewis, of Rome.
The women are accused of receiving either Temporary Assistance and/or SNAP benefits to which they were not entitled to.
Lewis is accused of using someone else’s SNAP Benefit Card to buy food for herself.
Iannone, Rivers, Gonzalez and Thompson allegedly failed to report their employment in a timely manner to the Oneida County Department of Social Services.
