A motion has filed in court to name five Syracuse University students suing the university, claiming those controversial videos taken during private Theta Tau fraternity events were taken out of context.

The attorney defending SU says the public has a substantial interest in transparent legal proceedings.

The lawsuit is seeking damages from the University totaling over $1 million per student.

15 members of the former fraternity were given a two year indefinite suspension over those videos — which most plan to appeal.
