ROME, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Autopsy results for Kerrilee D’Avolio have been delayed. The Rome Police Department says it expects a preliminary report from the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s office on Monday.
The 32-year-old’s body was found in the Oneida County landfill on Tuesday. A rifle, which investigators believe was used in the crime, was also discovered in the Barge Canal by a dive team.
Her husband, Jason D’Avolio, has been charged with concealing a human corpse, but more charges against him are expected.
The District Attorney says D’Avolio claims his wife actually committed suicide and he put her body in a dumpster.
