Baldwinsville Police arrest man after he allegedly threw fireworks at neighbors

BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Baldwinsville Police and a SWAT team forced their way into a man’s home after he refused to surrender.

Thursday, 40-year-old William Lacey was taken into custody at his home at 27 Salina Street in Baldwinsville. 

Baldwinsville Police Chief Mike Lefancheck says neighbors reported hearing a what sounded like a gunshot inside Lacey’s house and claim Lacey came outside and threw fireworks at his neighbor’s houses.

Baldwinsville Police say he refused to come to the door when asked by officers. Police then secured a warrant and the Onondaga County Sheriff’s SWAT team went into the home. Lacey surrendered without incident. He is charged with menacing and harassment. Police say they did not find a firearm on Lacey.

The investigation is ongoing.
