‘Big Bugs’ making their way to Rosamond Gifford Zoo this summer

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Get ready for some giant insects at the Zoo this summer.

The BIG BUGS! Exhibit will feature seven larger-than-life animatronic insects on display along the Zoo’s Wildlife Trail.

The bugs will make their debut at the Zoo’s Member Appreciation Night on June 12, and then be on display for all to see from mid-June through Labor Day.

Bugs on display are:

  • Bombardier Beetle
  • Grasshopper
  • Orb-Web Spider
  • Seven-Spot Ladybird
  • Red-Trailed Bumblebee
  • Madagascan Sunset Moth
  • Blue-Eyed Darner
