Boil water advisory lifted for Stockbridge Water District

Local News

MADISON COUNTY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A boil water advisory has been lifted for the Stockbridge Water District.

A boil water advisory had been activated last week because a regular water sample showed coliform bacteria was in the drinking water. Coliform bacteria are naturally present in the environment and could be an indicator of harmful microbes.

Tests have now come back saying the water is safe to drink.
