Breanna Stewart wins ESPY for Best WNBA player

LOS ANGELES, CA (WSYR-TV) – Breanna Stewart will have at least one new trophy to add to her trophy case.

The former C-NS star has won the ESPY for ‘Best WNBA Player’. Stewie beats out Candace Parker from the Los Angeles Sparks, Diana Taurasi from the Phoenix Mercury and Elena Delle Donne of the Washington Mystics.

In 2018, Stewart won her first WNBA title, was named the WNBA Finals MVP and WNBA MVP averaging 21.8 points per game, 8.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.4 blocks.

While also being up for the ‘Best Female Athlete’ at tonight’s ESPYs, that award went Alex Morgan of the US Women’s National Soccer team.

She previously won the ‘Best Female Athlete’ and ‘Best Female College Athlete’ at the 2016 ESPY Awards.
