BREWERTON, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – DMB Dance Productions in Brewerton raised money for care packages to be sent to American soldiers serving overseas.
Partnering with Lockheed Martin — the dance group raised money, collected supplies and ultimately sent care packages to soldiers from the 10th Mountain Division in Afghanistan and members of the Army National Guard serving in Ukraine.
“What I like most about it is to give more and learn more about them like to give more letters,” said Elizabeth Trudell who has danced with DMB for the past five years.
Next to raising $1,200 in donations for supplies, the kids have already written dozens of letters to send overseas to the brave men and women serving our country.
“When my daddy was away in the Army, I was missing him a lot. I hope you aren’t away for too long,” seven-year-old Charlotte Bartel read from a letter she wrote for the soldiers.
Beaming with pride, DMB Dance Productions owner Danae Bader says her dancers know being their best means more than giving it their all — it means giving back.
DMB Dance Productions is located at 5472 Miller Road in Brewerton.
