Car and garage damaged after fire on Syracuse’s South Side

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) Syracuse fire crews are investigating a car garage fire on Syracuse’s South Side.

Around 3:37 p.m. on Sunday, the Syracuse Fire Department were called to a car fire in the garage at 240 West Newell Street.

The home is a two story wood frame building with an attached garage.

An man was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Damage from the fire was contained to the garage. No one else was home at the time of the fire.

Fire Investigators are working to find the origin and cause of the fire. No other injuries were reported.
