LIVERPOOL, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Hundreds of people battled the heat on Saturday, looking to get themselves on the big screen. It’s being dubbed as the biggest film ever shot in Syracuse and the production crew is still looking for thousands of extras.
The name of the movie is unknown, but we do know it’ll be shot in August and September for a span of 35 days. More than 2,000 extras are needed for this film.
The casting directors were on Bridge Street earlier this week encouraging people to try their hand at acting.
“There’s going to be days when we need 2,000 people. There might be days when we need only need five, so you might not get a call that day. So, there is going to be opportunity. If you want to be in the film industries, the first thing you need to do its get on set, said Michael Waters.
American High Films is planning to shoot three more movies in Syracuse down the road, so if you don’t make the cut this time, you may get another chance in the future.
